Pick the Day Inn
How I Used Digital Art to Make This
My artwork is titled “Pick the Day Inn”. My artwork includes A cozy scene with an abundance of little creatures called pikmin. These
images convey a warm and comfortable feeling while being whimsical and light hearted.
Everything was made using adobe's PHOTOSHOP. I used the shadow with layer styles to create and edit the shadows in each pikmin to add interest. This tool adds interest by making things feeling real and in place with the scenery.
I used the blur tool in objects close up and objects far away to add interest. This tool adds interest by keeping your eyes in the mid ground and through showing depth.
I used the puppet warp tool in the pikmin stems to add interest. This tool adds interest by putting them in a slightly more interesting position while not contradicting to movement or scenery.
I used the transform and warp tool in the reflection of the rock pikmin on the mug to add interest. This tool adds interest by pulling objects not originally in the scenery in the scenery in a logical and appealing way.
I used color in the whole piece through the hue and saturation filter to add interest. This element adds interest by pulling everything together by putting the saturation down just a bit to not be overly stimulating.
I used line in through the branches in the foreground to add interest. This element adds interest by drawing the eye away from the dark floor and toward all the “action”.
I used form in the wooden spoon hand and the big creature in the back (location) to add interest. This element adds interest through shading logically with the lights making it feel real and more cohesive.
I used shape in the characters to add interest. Thought not my designs This element adds interest by making the piece understandable and appealing to look at even though you’ve probably never seen these creatures.
"Play my sounds :D!"
